Yeah, searx and no looking back here too. The only downside is it’s OotB experience isn’t the best, so you should spend a minute configuring it to add more engines than just google. Oh, that and the occasional outages, but they seem to be less common lately.

It’s actually kinda nice that he’s not going full nose-dive straight into the ground. Getting a steady stream of users is better for Lemmy’s culture, than a full exodus event, imo. It gives us a chance to not be reddit, but something better.

I don’t mind the whole online menu thing. It’s probably an environmental net positive, but it’s bs if they don’t have ANY physical copies for those who can’t or don’t want to for whatever reason.

If they wanted me to install something, though, that’d be a 100% instant nope.
